ANTIREFLECTION FILM

An antireflection film is provided which not only has sufficient antireflection performance and sufficient antistatic performance but diminishes the color of reflected light to inhibit color unevenness. When disposed on the surface of a display, in particular, on the surface of a transmission liquid-crystal display, the antireflection film can show an excellent light-place contrast and an excellent dark-place contrast. The antireflection film is characterized in that: that surface of the antireflection film which is on the low-refractive-index-layer side has an average luminous reflectance in the range of 0.5-1.5%; that surface of the antireflection film which is on the low-refractive-index-layer side, when examined at wavelengths ranging from 400 nm to 700 nm, has spectral reflectances in which the difference between the maximum and minimum values is in the range of 0.2-0.9%; and the antireflection film has an absorption loss in average luminous transmittance in the range of 0.5-3.0% and a parallel-light transmittance in the range of 94.0-96.5%.
