DC POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

A DC power distribution system includes: a main distribution board which contains an AC/DC conversion device for converting an AC power supplied from an AC power system to a DC power; and a plurality of distributed distribution board containing a DC/DC conversion device which converts a DC power supplied from the main distribution board to a DC power of a desired level. A DC power of a relatively high level is supplied from the main distribution board to respective distributed distribution boards. In the respective distributed distribution boards, the DC/DC conversion device converts a power to a DC power of a desired level for supply to a load. This can reduce the affect of the voltage drop caused by a wiring resistance. As a result, it is possible to distribute the DC power to various positions by extending the wiring distance.
