PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RF communication system remotely controlling various controlled equipment conventionally controlled by pulse control signals of different pulse modulated signal formats, by an RF signal without changing the structure of an equipment side microcomputer. SOLUTION: The RF communication system comprises a controlled equipment having a pulse modulation circuit. When a particular output cord is included in the demodulated remote control data, the pulse modulation circuit reads a pulse modulated signal format associated with the output cord from a format storage unit, and outputs a pulse modulated signal, which is pulse modulated by the control data included in the remote control data, to a pulse signal input port of the equipment side microcomputer according to the read pulse modulated signal format. A remote control side microcomputer includes an output cord for identifying a pulse modulated signal format which can be modulated by the equipment side microcomputer of the controlled equipment, in the remote control data together with the control data, and outputs a signal, which complies with the read pulse modulated signal format, to the equipment side microcomputer.
