PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame delay generator for changing delay time while frame delay generating function is not suspended and for enhancing efficiency of testing. SOLUTION: The frame delay generator includes a frame extracting unit 11 for extracting particular frames among input frames, a memory 14 for storing data, a write buffer 13 for writing data forming the extracted frame, a read buffer 15 for storing data of the memory 14 to store data written into the write buffer 13, a memory control unit 17 for controlling write of data to the memory 14 from the write buffer 13 and controlling transfer of data to the read buffer 15 from the memory 14, and a delay time control unit 20 for writing data for the memory 14 from the write buffer 13 to the memory control unit 17 with priority or transferring data for the read buffer 15 from the memory 14 with priority in order to set the present delay time to become equal to the preset delay time.
