PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timer circuit of a simple structure which is well suited to ignition control of a boiler, a combustion furnace, or the like and does not cause an increase in time span of an output signal. SOLUTION: A timer circuit for ignition control composed by using a capacitor for electric charge/discharge is provided with an electric charge/discharge control circuit which alternately forms a charge channel and a discharge channel with respect to the capacitor by operating in response to an input signal, charges the capacitor until charge voltage of the capacitor reaches a first threshold voltage, has the capacitor discharge, and generates an output signal over a period until the discharge voltage of the capacitor reaches a second threshold voltage.
