PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel having a plurality of frame members, which is constituted to avoid deformation and damage or the like by external force such as a shock or dropping. SOLUTION: The lens barrel 1 having an extending mechanism includes: a moving frame 4 (first frame member) having a cam groove 4c and having a circumferential groove 4e on its peripheral surface; a cam frame 5 (second frame member) having a cam follower 41 and capable of moving in a turning direction and an optical axis direction by fitting the cam follower in the cam groove 4c; and a rotary frame 3 (third frame member) having a straight advance groove 3c engaged with the cam follower 41 so that the cam frame can move relatively in the optical axis direction, turning integrally with the moving frame, and having a plurality of projecting parts 3e fit in the circumferential groove so that the cam frame may not move relatively in the optical axis direction.
