PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost device for irradiating inspection light for constantly maintaining a color temperature of the inspection light by complementing a change part of spectral characteristics due to secular change or exchange of a halogen lamp. SOLUTION: The device for irradiating the inspection light includes: the halogen lamp 11, LEDs 12a-12c; an optical mixing device 14 for generating the inspection light being uniform white light by mixing their lights; and a condensing lens 16 imaged on a solid-state image sensor 15 by condensing the inspection light. A light receiving element 30 for receiving a part of the inspection light is provided on an optical path 28 guiding the inspection light emitted from the optical mixing device 14 to the solid-state image sensor 15, and the output signal is transmitted to a control device 31. The control device 31 always holds the color temperature of the inspection light in ideal target values even when the spectral characteristics change due to secular change or exchange of the halogen lamp 11 because an LED power source 19 is controlled to suitably modify drive voltage or the number of lighting of LEDs 12a-12c, by the control device 31.
