PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating apparatus for cooking with good appearance as a product, user-friendliness during cooking, work efficiency during cleaning, and improvement in product value, controlled at a desired heating temperature by detecting an accurate temperature in the bottom of cookware. SOLUTION: The heating apparatus for cooking is composed of a table body, a heating means incorporated in the table body, an annular part provided on the heating means, and a grate comprising a plurality of rising parts provided connected to the annular part and a cookware mounting part. Electrodes for a thermocouple are provided on the cookware mounting part of the grate. The thermocouple detects the temperature of the bottom of the cookware and generates electromotive force. The electromotive force generated from the thermocouple is sent to a microchip via a lead wire. The microchip is provided with a data transmission and/or electric power receival means, and it can transmit data of the electromotive force and receive electric power necessary for the thermocouple. A data receival and/or electric power transmission means can receive data from the data transmission and/or electric power receival means and supply electric power.
