PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web unwinding device in which a cutting end of a web on an old shaft is not attached to a web on a new shaft. SOLUTION: The device is provided with: a nip roll to press an old web W from the old shaft 6 to an adhesive member 24 provided on a new web W wound around the new shaft; and a nozzle 20 to blow compression air toward a cut end part of the old web W just when cutting is started.
