MEDICAL APPLIANCE FOR SOFT BIOTISSUE AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically provide a medical appliance for soft biotissue having excellent workability, corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and biological stability.

SOLUTION: Ferrite stainless steel is manufactured by ingot. The ferrite stainless steel is worked into a shape of a medical appliance for soft biotissue and defined as a medical appliance body. The medical appliance body is brought into contact with gas containing nitrogen at a processing temperature of 800°C or more to make the ferrite stainless steel constituting the medical appliance body absorb nitrogen and austenitize at least a part of the ferrite stainless steel.
