<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an edgeproofing and pickproofing element excellent in edgeproofing and pickproofing effects, which has plenty of mobility and is excellent in permeability and flexibility, and a protective clothing employing thereof. <P>SOLUTION: An edgeproofing and pickproofing element is so constituted as to gaplessly cover the surface of a knitting ground knitted by aramid base fiber with small pieces of edgeresisting plates and then to fix the pieces through adhesive to the surface. In order to obtain enough edgeproofing and pickproofing effects, the perfect bonding of the edgeresisting plates to the knitting ground is necessary and the crimpingly bonding of the whole one side of the edgeresisting plate to the knitting ground is necessary. In order to improve pickproofing properties by effectively catching the edge of a blade of an ice ax or the like, small holes each with its inscribed circle of ≤2 mm are provided in each edgeresisting plate. In addition, by utilizing the elasticity of the knitting ground, a so called pinching effect for catching the edge of the blade by pinching it with two sheets of the edgeresisting plates therebetween is shown. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
