PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a currency processing machine capable of coping with a need for performing a process occurring in a store side during a depositing transaction by a customer. SOLUTION: The machine includes a first operating means 20 which is operated by the customer, a second operating means 40 to be operated by a person in charge, a currency receiving opening for accepting currency, a storing unit for storing currency received into the currency receiving opening, a conveying path for conveying currency received into the currency receiving opening toward the storing unit, and controlling means for controlling the depositing transaction of currency input into the currency receiving opening by an operation to the first operation means 20, wherein the controlling means makes the depositing transaction in accordance with the operation to the first operating means 20 to be interrupted and performs a process in accordance with an operation to the second operating means 40 when an another operation different from the first operating means 20 is accepted by the second operating means 40 while performing the depositing transaction in accordance with the operation to the first operating means 20.
