SOLUTION: In the active matrix device, a switch circuit for writing a desired potential to a data line 202 comprises an n-channel type transistor and a p-channel type transistor, wherein a common potential is driven so as to be inverted in a predetermined period, either one side of the n-channel type transistor and the p-channel type transistor constituting the switch circuit is selected in accordance with the common potential and the desired potential is written to the data line 202.
