PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling unit for a vehicle air-conditioning system capable of discharging condensed water even if the condensed water flows backward to an upstream side of a cooling thermal exchanger. SOLUTION: A lower case 13 includes a rib 18 to prevent condensed water stored in a storage space 16 from flowing backward to an air flow upstream side thereof and a wall 20 which partially separates the storage space 16 and connects an opening 19 in the rib 18 and the storage space 16 to form a passage to allow condensed water to pass. The wall 20 prevents condensed water from flowing backward to an air flow upstream side of the rib 18 through the opening 19 from the storage space 16, returns the condensed water that flows backward to the air flow upstream side of the rib 18 to the storage space 16 through a passage formed of the wall 20, thus discharging the condensed water through a discharge port 17 from the storage space 16.
