SOLUTION: A method of driving active matrix device is characterized in that a first writing period in which a first potential kept substantially constant is written into a first data line (data line 202-3) and a second writing period in which a second potential kept substantially constant is written into a second data line (data line 202-4) have completion timings different from each other and, at the same time, have a period in which both writing periods overlap each other.
