HEATER FOR PIPE

[PROBLEMS] To provide a heater for a pipe in which a pipe can be kept uniformly and at a desired constant temperature, while the working performance and reproducibility during its transportation and installation can be improved. [MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS] This heater (1) for a pipe is so installed as to surround the outer peripheral wall (Pa) of the pipe (P) having its cross section (c) of circular shape and comprises shells (3, 13) which are connected to each other through hinges (2) so constituted as to form a polyhedron (R) along the pipe (P). Heat insulators (4, 14), molds (5, 15) so disposed on the inner walls (3a, 13a) of the shells (3, 13) as to come into contact with the outer peripheral wall (Pa) of the pipe (P) when installed, and heating elements (6) so disposed on the inner walls (3a, 13a) of the shells (3, 13) as to extend in the longitudinal direction of the pipe (P) in the space (7) between the outer peripheral wall (Pa) of the pipe (P) and the corner parts (Ra) of the formed polyhedron (R) when installed are provided on the entire surfaces of the inner walls (3a, 13a) of the shells (3, 13).
