A microchip having a constitution wherein a specimen division section (SP) is provided for dividing a specimen solution, which is transported from an internal control (stI) through a microchannel, into a first channel and a second channel; a first mixed solution is formed in the microchannel by combining the internal control, which is transported through the first channel, with a specimen solution from a specimen storage section (stE) and a reagent from a reagent storage section (st); a second mixed solution is formed therein by combining the internal control transported through the second channel with a negative control from a negative control storage section (stN) and a reagent from a reagent storage section (st); the first mixed solution and the second mixed solution are amplified respectively through nucleic acid amplification reactions; and an amplification product is detected by each detection part (148) based on the occurrence or non-occurrence of the amplification.</p>
