The flare correcting device comprises a subject image capturing unit (131) for capturing a subject image by imaging a subject, an unsaturated image capturing unit (133) for capturing an unsaturated image by imaging the subject so as not to saturate the luminance level even if a light source is included in the subject, a flare component calculating unit (132) for calculating the flare component contained in the subject image by using the position of the light source obtained from the unsaturated image so that the position of the light source corresponds to that of the flare component, and a flare component removing unit (134) for removing the flare component from the subject image.</p>
