An aromatherapy system for the effusion of aromatic fumes from an aromatic substance placed within a pillow or mattress; said system including a supporting structure and a carrier of said aromatic substance; said carrier of said aromatic substance substantially encapsulated within said supporting structure; said supporting structure including at least one surface of said supporting structure formed so as to restrict sliding movement of said supporting structure within said pillow or mattress.
