A surgical operating apparatus is provided to easily manage an assembly error or a manufacturing error of each part by securing clearance between an electrode part of a probe distal end part and an electrode part of a jaw. A surgical operating apparatus includes a sheath, a probe main body, a probe distal end part, and a jaw(17). The sheath has a distal end part and a proximal end part. The probe main body is inserted inside the sheath. The probe main body has a distal end part and a proximal end part. The probe distal end part is positioned in the distal end part of the probe main body. The probe distal end part forms a first electrode part among a bipolar electrode. The jaw is rotatably supported in the distal end part of the sheath. The jaw has an engaging surface which is engaged with the probe distal end part. The jaw has a second electrode part of the bipolar electrode.
