A slab rotation device to reduce the fault generation of the slab is provided to perform the rolling operation smoothly by rotating the slab even if the slab is thick and heavy. A slab rotation device comprises: slab rotating units(110,120) rotating the both side of the slab by pressuring, arranged at the both side of a conveying unit(30) transferring the slab extracted from a furnace to a roughing mill; and slab arrangement units(130,140) arranging the slab in order to perform the width direction rolling by pressing the turned both side of the slab, located at the both side of the conveying unit. The slab rotating units are consisting of: cylinders(111,121) in which at least one cylinder is located at the both side of the slab; a pressurizing rod(115,125) pressurizing the diagonal line edge of the slab by being connected to the cylinder to have the reciprocating motion. At least two rollers(117,118,127,128) are connected to the pressurizing rod.
