A sheet conveying apparatus is provided to suppress deterioration of the transfer position of paper sheets by inclining the first and second twisting units at less than 90° when conveying the paper sheets. A sheet conveying apparatus(20) comprises a first transfer unit transferring a paper sheet in an upright position on a first path of first height, a second transfer unit which inclines the transferred paper sheet and transfers the inclined paper sheet in a shifted transfer direction on a second path of second height, and a third transfer unit which returns the inclined paper sheet to the upright position and transfers the paper sheet. |
