FORMABILITY EVALUATION APPARATUS AND METHOD OFTHERE

A formability estimating apparatus is provided to allow a punch pressing a board into a dome shape to cause crack only on one side of the dome, thereby estimating the formability accurately. A formability estimating apparatus comprises molds(110,120) with a punching hole(111), and a punch(130) inserted into the punching hole. The punch includes a dome shaped head(131) formed on the upper end of the punch, and an asymmetrical part(132) which is protruded or recessed on the exterior of the head. The rim of a board material is fixed to the rim of the punching hole. The punch stretches the board until crack occurs on the board. The asymmetrical part is deviated from the center of the head.
