It is an object of the invention to provide an effective technique for improving the gripping characteristics in a hand-held power tool. To solve the problem, a representative power tool is provided to include a motor that drives a tool bit, a cylindrical housing that houses the motor, a motor actuating parts that actuates the motor, a cylindrical cover that is connected to one end of the housing in its longitudinal direction and houses the motor actuating parts. A grip to be held by a user of the power tool is defined by the housing and the cylindrical cover. A plurality of projections are formed on the outer surface of the grip in a circumferential direction of the grip and that each projection extends between the housing and the cover in the longitudinal direction of the power tool.
