A wire and wireless interworking character management method and an apparatus thereof for effectively managing a subscriber character are provided to interwork the character by the subscriber by driving a character management program in a waiting mode of a mobile communication terminal. A character management program for managing a character is stored on online for discriminating a mobile communication terminal subscriber. The state of a character is changed based on the selection information of a user. The status information of the changed character is stored in the mobile communications terminal. When a standby mode of the mobile communications terminal is operated, the character management program is started(S205, S210). As the character management program operating in the standby mode automatically connects to the online server, the character state information is registered in the on-line server(S230). |
