A damping vibration device of a washing machine is provided to diminish the vibration of a tub relative to the vibration direction and amplitude. A damping vibration device of a washing machine comprises a vibration sensing unit(40), a vibration damping unit and a MICOM. The vibration sensing unit takes a target formed on an upper side of a tub(21) and calculates the vibration direction and amplitude of the tub based on the traveling direction and magnitude transition of the target through video date. The vibration sensing unit is installed between the top of a cabinet(20) and the top of the tub. The vibration damping unit is installed at the tub in order to diminish the vibration of the tub. If the vibration direction and amplitude of the tub is input from the vibration sensing unit, the MICOM controls vibration of the tub to be diminished by controlling the vibration damping unit based on the vibration direction and amplitude. |
