PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable from which optical fibers can be taken out surely by suppressing the spring-out phenomenon of a tension member, when a jacket is torn. SOLUTION: The optical cable 1 is composed of a cable body part 9, in which an optical fiber ribbon 10 with a plurality of optical fibers 11 integrated into a single unit with a tape resin 12 is arranged in parallel between two tension members 2 and is covered with a jacket 3, together with the tension members 2, and a support line part 8, in which a supporting line 7 is covered with the jacket 3. The cable body part 9 and the support line part 8 are arranged in parallel and linked in between with a neck part 6 that is continuous with the respective jackets 3. In a cross section which is orthogonal to the axis of the optical fibers 11, in an intermediate position L2, which is located between the center line L1 passing the center of the cable body part 9 to bisect the longitudinal direction of the cable body part 9 and the outer face 9a of the cable body part at the position farthest away from the center line L1 on the neck side, or being on the side which is closer to the center line L1 from the intermediate position L2, and the tension member 2a of the neck part side is arranged there.
