A method and a system for converting a mobile communication terminal to a credit card or a cash card are provided to make a computer of a card company memorize ID code data of a card in the mobile communication terminal of a user, thereby improving security. Card data which a computer(101) of a card company transmits is stored in a memory unit of a terminal by a program set up in a CPU(Central Processing Unit) of a subscriber terminal(103). A user ID code which is a security authentication unit of credit card data stored in the terminal is set up by a number, a character, and a diagram or combination thereof through a keypad of the terminal. When the set up user ID code coincides with the user ID code pre-stored in the terminal, an operation of the card data is converted into an ON mode by the program.
