An air conditioner to maintain the optimum state according to the operation state of the heating operation is provided to perform the efficient air conditioning operation by bypassing a part of refrigerant to a heat exchanger through a receiver tank during the heating operation. An air conditioner comprises: a receiver tank(71) connected to an outdoor unit; and a refrigerant bypass circuit bypassing a part of refrigerant to an outdoor heat exchanger(19A,19B) through the receiver tank during heating operation in order to make the part of the refrigerant flow to a suction side of a compressor(16). The refrigerant bypass circuit is consisting of: a first valve(72) in which the refrigerant is flowed in into the receiver tank; a second valve(73) in which the refrigerant is flowed out from the receiver tank; and a controlling unit opening at least one between the first and second valve in the heating operation.
