A tap rod monitoring method of a tapping apparatus is provided to inform the user of excessive torque of the tap rod spindle over the upper or lower limit and stop the tapping apparatus at the same time, thereby preventing fault. A tap rod monitoring method of a tapping apparatus comprises a step of processing a sample over one time to detect the torque of a tap rod spindle and store it, a step of indicating a first graph that the upper limit is added to the reference graph and a second graph that the lower limit is subtracted from the reference graph together with the reference graph on a display, and a step of detecting the torque of the tap rod spindle in real time by actually processing the inner threads of a nut and indicating the data in graph on the display, and generating a message to pause the apparatus when the graph deviates from the range of the first and the second graph.
