A friction reducing apparatus for a flexible cable and a disk drive using the same are provided to prevent the folding of the flexible cable by minimizing rubbing between a peripheral component and the flexible cable. A friction reducing apparatus for a flexible cable comprises: a flexible cable(46) which electrically connects a moving part and a fixing part by connecting both ends to the moving part and the fixing part; and a peripheral component in which a curved face(23) is formed at a part contacted with a part moving with the moving part among the flexible cable.
