A microwave oven cavity cleaning control method is provided to clean the inside of the cavity easily because the inside of the cavity is soaked by the supplied steam and it is repeated. A microwave oven cavity cleaning control method comprises a cooling step(S20) which lowers the temperature inside the cavity for cooling down period; a step(S30) which operates a magnetron for a first heating time so that the water stored inside the container in the cavity is evaporated; a first heating soaking step(S40) which stops operation of the magnetron for a first soaking time; a step(S50) which operates the magnetron for a second heating time so that the water included in the container positioned inside the cavity evaporates; and a second heating soaking step(S60) which stops operation of the magnetron for a second soaking time.
