Disclosed is a methacrylic resin composition wherein a star block copolymer (B) is dispersed, in the form of particles, in a matrix (A) composed of a methacrylic resin containing not less than 50% by mass of a methyl methacrylate unit. The methacrylic resin composition is obtained by bulk polymerizing or solution polymerizing 100 parts by mass of a monomer mixture (A') composed of 50-100% by mass of methyl methacrylate and 0-50% by mass of another vinyl monomer copolymerizable with methyl methacrylate until the polymerization conversion rate of the monomer is 70% by mass or more in the presence of 1-80 parts by mass of a star block copolymer (B) having a polymer block (a) composed of an alkyl (meth)acrylate ester unit and a polymer block (b) composed of a conjugated diene compound unit.
