Class 87(i) [Also in Group XVIII] Road marking means comprise a strip or block of rubber, or like resilient material with a flange 8 projecting from the lower part of each side face 9 and channels 3 in the lower face 4, the channels and flanges extending longitudinally of the strip and all the channels in cross-section comprising a curved crest merging into curved side walls, all the side walls meeting the lower face at an acute angle. Ribs 6 are provided in the channels and on the flanges and side faces. The flanges are preferably tapered and the upper surface 2 of the strip convexly curved. Wire dowels extending transversely of the channel and retained in holes in the strip or project outside are used for fixing.</p> |
