MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR MAGNETIC HEAD SLIDER

A manufacturing method of a magnetic head slider to form read element and record element is provided to reduce the dimension error of a head element by performing a grinding process to a plane corresponding to the rear side of a wafer. A bar(55) meets at right angle from the wafer, in which the arrangement of a head element is maintained on a surface, to a wafer surface and is cut along cross sections which are parallel. One of cross sections corresponded to a medium opposite side of a head slider and the grinding process is performed on a plane corresponding to the rear side of wafer with a ground surface(82a) rubbing in a short side of the bar.
