A route bypass searching method and an apparatus using the same is provided to enable an operator to compare both routes through simulation driving and improve information transfer performance by displaying an existing route and a bypass path. A route bypass searching method comprises: a step(S610) receiving the destination information of a moving body on a navigation terminal; a step(S620) extracting location information corresponding to the received destination information from a database; a step(S630) extracting the present location information of the moving body; a step(S640) calculating one or more routing information based on the location information corresponding to the extracted present location information and the destination information; and a step(S650) displaying the map group information based on the location information corresponding to the extracted destination information. The map group information comprises one or more routing information.
