A broadcast processing apparatus and a method thereof are provided to maintain a security of broadcasting contents without using a cipher key generating module. A decoding unit decodes an encrypted broadcast in a cable card. An encryption unit re-encrypts the decoded broadcasting in the decoding unit. A storage unit stores the re-encrypted broadcast in the encryption unit. A control unit(250) changeably produces a key required for the re-encrypt operation of the encryption unit according to the broadcast band, and the key is assigned to the encryption unit.
