<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflecting mirror holding device for a light source, whereby no thermally deflected distribution is caused in a reflecting mirror provided around a discharge lamp, and the reflecting mirror can be prevented from being broken. <P>SOLUTION: This reflecting mirror holding device for a light source is provided with a holding part to hold a discharge lamp, and a means for supporting 4 to support the reflecting mirror 2 for reflecting the light flux of the discharge lamp. The means for supporting 4 is constituted of a ceramic material whereby thermal conductivity of its first supporting member 13 forming a portion making contact with the reflecting mirror 2 has the almost same level as one for the reflecting mirror 2 which is a glass member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
