An exhaust gas-purifying catalyst (1) includes a substrate (2), an oxygen storage layer (3) covering the substrate (2) and including an oxygen storage material, and a catalytic layer (4) covering the oxygen storage layer (3) and including palladium, rhodium and a carrier supporting them, the catalytic layer (4) having a precious metal concentration higher than that of the oxygen storage layer (3).
