A washing machine is provided to prevent a tub from melting by a heater of high temperature by preventing the heater from falling down to the tub. A washing machine comprises a tub(110), a heater(130) and a heater cover(120). The tub stores the washing water and has a protrusion unit on a bottom part. The heater cover is equipped at the protrusion unit. The heater is equipped in the tub and heats up the washing water. The heater cover surrounds the heater and has a though hole connected with the tub.
