A communications system for an efficient path restoration using filtering operation in an AD hoc network and a communications method are provided to minimize the truncation of data transmission by reducing a delay time to a recovery of route. A message transceiver(201) receives and transmits a message of a routing request message and a route reply message. A filtering unit(202) filters path information corresponding to one message according to a specific filtering method. A route information storage unit(203) stores the filtered routing information. The specific filtering method allows the affirmation error of the single number and reduces the size of the filtering object data.
