[Also in Group VI] A blood transfusion bottle 10 has a self-seal rubber stopper 11 secured by a cap 12, the stopper on its underside having a number of tubular extensions 16, 17, Fig. 4. The extension 16 has a groove 26 to receive the flange 25 of a small container 19, while the other extensions receive open ended tubes 20, 21 which act as guides for hypodermic needles 29. The top of the stopper has marks to indicate the position of the tubular extensions with the location of the container 19 specially indicated at 23. The container 19 is seated from the remainder of the bottle and is filled separately so that blood samples can.be extracted therefrom without unsealing the main bottle 10. |
