A Lopez-Dahab algorithm based high speed elliptic curve cryptographic processor on a finite field is provided to improve processing speed, thereby being used in a network processor and a web server requiring a high processing rate. A host microprocessor receives a kP result and an end signal from a host interface. A data memory is comprised of a 8x163-bit dual-ported memory. An instruction memory includes 13 microcodes of a 11-bit word. A 7x163-bit register file transmits a temporary calculation result to the data memory. A word level arithmetic unit(AU-1) is controlled by a Control-1 signal. A word level arithmetic unit(AU-2) performs coordinates conversion. A control-2 receives an operation code from a command memory.
