摘要 A clutch (60) of a type including engagement elements (9) interposed between rotatable members (4, 1) on motor and wheel sides, respectively is disposed between an electric drive motor (51) and wheels (56). This clutch (60) includes a retainer constraining mechanism (21) for selectively constraining and releasing a retainer retaining the engagement elements (9) so that when the retainer is constrained, rotation in any one of two directions opposite to each other can be transmitted, but when the retainer is released, the rotatable members (1, 4) can rotate freely relative to each other. A motor-clutch linkage control unit (62) is provided, which is operable to cause the retainer constraining mechanism (21) to constrains the retainer, when the electric drive motor (51) is operated, but to release the retainer, when receiving a motor halt command, and to halt the electric drive motor (51) after the electric drive motor (51) is accelerated to allow the rotatable member (4) on the motor side to attain a rotational speed higher than that of the rotatable member (1) on the wheel side.
