<p>The invention relates to the use of a polar organic liquid which is less than 10% by weight soluble in a salt-containing aqueous base fluid of an aqueous-based wellbore fluid but which is soluble in pure water, to increase the permeability of a filter-cake formed during a method of carrying out a wellbore operation, said method including the steps of:
(a) introducing into a wellbore an aqueous-based wellbore fluid comprising a salt-containing aqueous base fluid having dispersed therein said polar organic fluid;
(b) allowing a filter-cake to form; and subsequently
(c) bringing a second fluid into contact with the filter-cake, said second fluid having a level of salinity which is lower than the level of salinity of said aqueous base fluid.</p> |
