A TRAY SUPPLYING APPARATUS FOR CHIP MOUNTER AND THE TRAY SUPPLYING METHOD THEREOF

A tray supply apparatus for mounting a part and a method thereof are provided to improve operation efficiency by performing a process which transfers a customer tray to a part supply region and a process which transfers an empty customer tray to an external receiving part at the same time. A tray supply apparatus(100) for mounting a part includes a cassette mounting part(110), a tray supply unit(130), a tray lowering unit(140), and a tray discharging unit(150). Customer trays are loaded on a cassette. The cassette(10) is mounted on the cassette mounting part. The tray supply unit moves the customer tray from a tray receiving part of the cassette mounting part to a part supply region(S) according to a top side path. The tray lowering unit lowers the customer tray form the part supply region to a tray discharging region. The tray discharging unit moves the customer tray from the tray discharging region to an external receiving box according to a bottom side path.
