A seawater filtering apparatus is provided to filter foreign materials and microorganisms rapidly while improving efficiency of the apparatus, and to reduce an installation area for the seawater filtering apparatus. A seawater filtering apparatus includes a filter container(101), a plurality of rotary vanes(104), a first and a second filters(105,106), a rotary vane shaft(103), and a high speed motor(102). The rotating vane grinds foreign material and microorganisms in seawater flowed through an influent pipe(107). The seawater is compulsively transferred by pressure generated in the rotating vane. The first and the second filters filter the foreign material and the microorganisms. The filtered foreign material and the microorganisms are discharged through an effluent pipe(108).
