A method and an apparatus for serving a virtual mobile phone number with an intelligent network to be opened to the public in a car are provided to prevent the exposure of a mobile phone number which is one of personal information and to enable the communication having the special purpose by cutting off the direction communication between users and transferring only necessary information. An originator tries to make voice communication through a virtual mobile phone number for the exposure of a vehicle(100), and an originating MSC checks over whether or not the reception number is the virtual mobile phone number for the exposure of a vehicle(110). The MSC transmits virtual call reception information and the information of originator's phone number to an intelligent network(130). A short message service center transmits a text message for guidance to a real mobile phone number(170), and the SMSC transmits a text message for confirmation to an originating terminal(200).
