<p>A METHOD FOR INTENSIFYING THE RATE OF FILTRATION THROUGH A FILTER UNIT COMPRISING THE STEPS OF DISPOSING LIQUID SUSPENSION INTO A FEED RESERVOIR TANK, AGITATING SAID LIQUID SUSPENSION TO KEEP SOLIDS SUSPENDED IN THE LIQUID, FLOWING SAID LIQUID SUSPENSION UNDER PRESSURE THROUGH SAID FILTER ELEMENT IN SAID CHAMBER, AND APPLYING UNLTRASONIC ENERGY INTERMITTENLY TO SAID FILTER UNIT THROUGH LIQUID-SUSPENSION MEDIUM TO PRODUCE CAVITATION, WHEREIN THIS MECHANICAL ACTION HELPS IN DISPLACING PARTICLES ESPECIALLY TO DECREASE THE THICKNESS OF A CONCENTRATED LAYER FORMED NEAR THE FILTER ELEMENT, AND THEREBY INCREASING THE RATE OF FILTRATION.</p> |
