A method, an apparatus, a system and a computer readable recording medium for processing an arithmetical operation based on image information are provided to obtain operation processing results about various formulas by inputting only a formula image. An image component(150) extracts a formula, a symbol, and a character in the order that similarity with a formula image inputted by an input unit(110) is higher. A formula processing unit(170) analyzes an operation priority. The formula processing unit rearranges the formula based on priority of operators. An operation processing unit(190) derives an operation result about a reorganized formula.
